Zoho is a global enterprise software company founded in 1996 as AdventNet. The company later launched the Zoho brand and built a broad suite of cloud applications for businesses. Its products cover CRM, finance, human resources, collaboration, productivity, analytics, marketing and customer support. Zoho develops most of its technology internally and emphasizes long term product development over rapid expansion through acquisitions. The company serves businesses across more than 150 countries and has built a portfolio of more than 55 applications. Zoho has remained privately held and bootstrapped throughout its history. It has never raised external venture capital or institutional funding, allowing the company to reinvest its operating profits into research, product development and talent. Zoho operates its global headquarters in Chennai and maintains offices across India and international markets. The company also runs Zoho Schools, an alternative education and talent development program that trains young people for technology careers.
