Probus Smart Things is a New Delhi based DeepTech and EnergyTech company. It develops integrated hardware, communications and data analytics solutions that help electricity distribution utilities digitize their last mile power networks. Its technology provides real time visibility into grid assets, smart meters, distribution transformers, outages and power consumption. Probus combines IoT devices, communication technologies, cloud platforms and analytics to help utilities monitor assets, identify faults, reduce distribution losses and improve maintenance. Its solutions support smart metering, transformer monitoring, outage management, predictive maintenance and renewable energy applications. The company has deployed more than 900,000 smart meters across India and works with major utility and enterprise customers. In 2025, Probus raised $5 million in a Series A1 round led by Unicorn India Ventures, taking its publicly reported funding above $8 million. The company is also expanding its AI driven communication technology and dual communication network interface modules for smart metering and smart grid applications.
