Intignus Biotech Pvt. Ltd. is a Pune based women’s healthcare biotechnology startup founded in 2018. The company develops accessible diagnostic technologies focused on reproductive health, pregnancy and postpartum care, and neonatal health. Its flagship product, PEscreen, is a rapid point of care test designed to assess the risk of developing preeclampsia during pregnancy. The company is also developing early screening technology for premature rupture of membranes, neonatal sepsis diagnostics and multiplexed reproductive tract infection testing. Intignus aims to make diagnostic testing faster, more affordable and easier to access, particularly in resource limited healthcare settings. The company is based at NCL Innovation Park and has been supported by Venture Center, SIIC IIT Kanpur, Villgro and other innovation and healthcare ecosystems. Its work has also received support through BIRAC and DST NIDHI programs. Intignus has progressed its PEscreen technology into the pre commercialization phase, while its other diagnostic platforms remain in prototype or proof of concept development.
