Chakr Innovation is a Gurugram based cleantech company founded in 2016 by IIT Delhi graduates. The company develops technologies that help industries reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. Its flagship Chakr Shield is a retrofit emission control device designed for diesel generators. The system captures harmful particulate matter and other pollutants without requiring organizations to replace existing generators. Chakr also develops IoT based DG monitoring systems, decentralized energy technologies and battery energy storage systems. The company has filed more than 30 patents and has completed over 4,000 Chakr Shield installations across India. Chakr expanded its manufacturing presence in Gurugram and Pune as it scaled its emission control business. In 2026, the company officially expanded into battery energy storage after several years of research and development. Its current storage portfolio includes LFP, sodium ion and vanadium redox flow battery technologies. Chakr serves industrial companies, commercial facilities, real estate developers, institutions and public sector organizations. The company has raised institutional funding from investors including SBI Capital Ventures, Indian Angel Network, British International Investment and IDFC Parampara.
