During their Shark Tank India Season 4 pitch, Rosha India’s founders showcased their innovative wireless table lamps, highlighting their commitment to design, quality, and sustainability. The Sharks were particularly impressed by the brand’s ability to blend functionality with style, creating lighting solutions perfect for both homes, offices, restaurants and hotels.
Rosha focuses is on podless portable lamps that fit anywhere in a room. These lamps can be placed on dinning tables and study tables. Rosha has its own in-house designers who designs unique products. Rosha collaborates with the restaurants and cafes interior design teams to provide the theme based lighting solutions, which are often difficult to find in the market.

During the pitch, the founders shared an interesting story: Shark Aman Gupta’s mother saw their lamp in a hotel in Goa. She took the number from the manager and personally called them to buy the lamps. One of the co-founders personally delivered the order to Aman’s house.
A similar story happened again when Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan saw their lamps and ordered 7–8 lamps for himself.

90% of their business is B2B where they supply to restaurants and Hotels. They are also available in Middle-East where they supply through a distributor and they sell to their customers through their official website.
Founder’s Journey
The founders of Rosha are childhood friends and after doing their graduation, they initially joined their family businesses. However, they wanted to do something their own. Gaurav Tikiya did his graduation in B.Sc, electronics from Hansraj College, Delhi University. Shivam Diwan completed a B.Com in Business Management and Marketing from Delhi’s college.
How Rosha Started lightening?
Rosha was founded in 2019. The founders got the idea, while sitting at the restaurant and discussing with the manager, they found out that restaurant spent a lot of money on candles every month and which were inconvenient and had to be replaced frequently. This led to the concept of wireless, rechargeable table lamps.
When they started the business some of the lamps were imported. In FY24 – 25, they have 50% Made in India products and 50% imported. They plan to increase this to 80% Made in India products in the next three years.
Rosha’s Unit Economics
Rosha India’s unit economics are well-balanced, with COGS at 40%, marketing at 18%, human resources at 11%, logistics at 8%, rent at 5%, and miscellaneous expenses at 3%. The company maintains a healthy EBITDA of 15%, showing strong financial stability and profitability.
Rosha’s Sales Demonstration
It wasn’t just the design and convenience that caught the Sharks’ attention—it was also Rosha India’s strong financials and growth trajectory. Over the past five years, Rosha India’s sales have grown significantly.
Starting at ₹60 Lakhs in FY19-20, they scaled up to ₹1.8 Crores in FY20-21, followed by ₹3 Crores in FY22-23 and a significant jump to ₹8 Crores in FY23-24. By September of FY24-25, they had already hit ₹5 Crores, with a projected sales target of ₹16 Crores for the full year, showcasing their rapid expansion and market demand.

Aman Gupta (Co-founder of boAt) and Ritesh Agarwal (Founder of OYO) recognized Rosha India’s potential in the smart home lighting market. They jointly offered a combined deal involving both equity and royalty i.e., ₹ 60 Lakhs for 4% Equity + 1.5% Royalty until ₹ 90 Lakhs is recouped, ensuring financial backing and expert mentorship. At the end of the pitch the founders were saying they have their dream team now.
